Miss Malaysia Universe 2008 Levy Li Su Lin married the man of her dream Soo Sing from Penang in a breathtaking white wedding inside a purpose built marquee that was decked in so many white flowers it resembled a veritable garden of eden. 

Most of the younger guests (under 35) stayed back after the gala dinner to party while the oldies discreetly made their way home. Since I am just 35, I was allowed to remain behind to dance the night away in drunken stupor. 

Most of the goodlooking, successful and young guests were friends of handsome groom Soo Sing who hails from Pearl of the Orient. Carcosa Seri Negara is one of KL's most expensive and exclusive hotels and it must have cost half a million ringgit at least as everything was so lavish!

I have known Levy Li since she won Miss Malaysia Universe 2008 which seems like yesterday and I also knew her previous bf  Anthony. I asked Levy Li why she chose Soo Sing apart from his solid body and handsome face.

Smiled the radiant bride serenely. "His beard."

Suffice to say they love each other so much the CD they gave to every guest had the declaration "Till death do us part". So utterly romantic!
