Outstanding Collection of Rare Timepieces Offered in Antiquorum’s February Auction

 Antiquorum Auctioneers, the world’s premier watch auctioneers, is looking forward to its February 7th auction of “Important Modern & Vintage Timepieces” at the Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong. 

 Collectors will have the opportunity to bid on 296 outstanding timepieces. Previews will be held in Taipei, Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

Among the highlights is a collection of rare Patek Philippe timepieces including a Patek Philippe Ref. 5016 in platinum featuring a unique double dial and black and silver Roman numerals; a Ref. 3428 enamel dial wristwatch in white gold; and a Ref. 5102 Celestial in white gold. 

Also offered are a number of unique and rare exceptional timepieces, which include the highly collectible Harry Winston “Tourbillon a Glissiere” Ref.350-MATRL, Jaeger-LeCoultre, “Piece Unique Master Minute Repeater Venus” in pink gold and Vacheron Constantin Set of Four Metiers D’Art Les Masques 2007.

The highlight of the sale is the Patek Philippe Ref. 5016 in platinum with unique double dial and black and silver Roman numerals. Sold on June 29th, 2000.

This is an extremely fine, unique and important minute-repeating, platinum wristwatch with one-minute tourbillon regulator, retrograde perpetual calendar, moon phases, and a platinum Patek Philippe buckle. 

Accompanied by a Patek Philippe fitted box, Certificate of Origin, COSC, extra silver dial, extra platinum caseback, setting pin, and a leather folder with booklets.

Another outstanding highlight is the Vacheron Constantin “Metiers D’Art Les Masques 2007” first series, limited edition of 25 sets. This is a very fine and unique, self-winding, water-resistant, a set of 4 comprising an 18K yellow gold, pink gold, white gold and platinum wristwatches with “Mask” dials, day and date and Vacheron Constantin buckles. Accompanied by a fitted box and certificates.

A. Lange & Sohne enthusiasts will be vying for the A. Lange & Sohne “Tourbograph Pour le Merite – Hommage to F.A. Lange”, No. 13/50,Ref.712.050. This is an extremely fine and rare, 18K honey gold wristwatch with visible one-minute tourbillon regulator, split second chronograph, registers, 36-hour power reserve and an 18K honey gold A. Lange & Sohne buckle. It made in a limited edition of 50 pieces in 2010 commemorating the brands 165th anniversary. Accompanied by an original fitted box, certificate, and instruction booklet.

Antiquorum experts are delighted to present the Jaeger-LeCoultre, “Piece Unique Master Minute Repeater Venus” in pink gold, Ref. 151.2.67.S. This is a  unique and exceptional, oversized, minute-repeating, 18K pink gold wristwatch with 15-day power reserve indication, Grand Feu enamel miniature “Venus” and an18K pink gold Jaeger- LeCoultre double deployant clasp. Accompanied by a Certificate of Origin and instruction booklet.

Also offered for the Patek Philippe collector is the Ref. 5102 Celestial white gold wristwatch, made in May 2003. This is an extremely fine and unusual astronomic wristwatch with mean time indication, nocturnal sky of the Northern Hemisphere, moon phases and moon orbit and time of the meridian passage of Sirius and moon. It is accompanied by the Certificate of Origin, leather instruction folder, booklets and an original Patek Philippe winding box.

Accompanied by the original Harry Winston box and international warranty booklet.

Pocket watch collectors will not want to miss the Patek Philippe Ref 865/084 watch with unique enamel miniature portrait “Grandfather with sleeping granddaughter” by Suzanne Rohr in yellow gold. Sold on November 11th, 1983, this is an extremely fine and unique, 18K yellow gold, keyless dress watch with exceptional polychrome painted on enamel miniature Grandfather with sleeping granddaughter. Accompanied by the original Patek Philippe fitted box and Certificate of Origin, Japanese registered guarantee card and booklets.

Patek Philippe aficionados will want to bid on the Patek Philippe Ref 3428. This is a very fine and rare 18K white gold wristwatch with enamel dial and an 18K white gold Patek Philippe buckle. It is only the 5th white gold reference 3428 to appear on the market. Never offered at auction before, with a perfect enamel dial and its original crown and cased in white gold, is it undoubtedly one of the nicest waterproof automatic Patek Philippe watches ever produced. Accompanied by the extract from the archives and service paper (serviced in 2012 in Switzerland).

Another exceptional timepiece is the Panerai Ref. PAM348 “LO SCIENZIATO” Radiomir Tourbillon GMT ceramic. No. M23/30, made in a unique edition of 30 units in 2010, the very fine and extremely rare wristwatch features one-minute dual axes tourbillon, 6 day power reserve, 24 hour indication, two time zone and a black coating stainless steel Panerai double deployant clasp. Accompanied by the original box, certificate, international guarantee certificate, instruction booklet, booklet (Lo Scienziato 2010, Tribute to Galileo Galilei 2011 and Panerai catalog 2010), Galileo’s Telescope book, additional straps (x3), hang tag and sticker.

Another noteworthy timepiece is the Patek Philippe Ref. 3971 yellow gold. Sold on May 11th, 1990. This is a very fine and very rare, astronomic, 18K yellow gold wristwatch with round button chronograph, registers, perpetual calendar, moon phases and 18K yellow gold Patek Philippe buckle. Accompanied by the original fitted box, the Extract of the Archives, pushpin, original crocodile strap, 18K yellow gold buckle and instruction booklet.
