16 graduating students from Diploma in Fashion and Retail Design presented their creative final-year collections based on different inspirations from all around the world on 45 models from 17 countries.The theme of the show was Tribal Superheroes.

Despite the theme, most outfits could be worn by normal folks without appearing too folksy or ethnic and herein lies the students' skills.

At the South Wing of Starhill Gallery, the Bachelors Fashion and Retailing class showcased their brand development projects that displayed their creative talents in fashion retail merchandising.

Creativity in Motion to showcase talents of Young Designers with an incredible Tribal Fashion Show
Over 35 graduating international students from the Faculty of Fashion Lifestyle and Creativity's Bachelors Fashion & Retailing,Diploma in Fashion & Retail Design and Professional Diploma in Hair Design classes at Limkokwing University had an amazing platform to share the joy of their success with industry partners and personalites, media, friends and families at Creativity in Motion held at the exquisite Starhill Gallery in KL on 2 July.
This year the aspiring student designers pushed their limits to showcase their amazing handwork sculptured garments with incredible details by bringing their collections to life with the theme “Tribal Superheroes”.
Representing your favorite superheroes to ethnic tribal heroes from all around the world, these well-tailored garments with a twist of tribal ethnicity and modernity, kept the guests at the edge of their chairs.
The models’ funky hairstyles were courtesy of final year students from the Professional Diploma in Hair Design.
The show concluded with the latest collection from Limkokwing Fashion Club, the world’s first fashion brand by a university. The bold, hip and trendy collections truly came to life with dynamic dance and song performances from the Faculties of Sound and Music as well as Performance Arts.
Another interesting exhibit of the night was the showcase from the Bachelors Fashion and Retailing class that displayed their creative talents of fashion retail merchandising.
Students  worked hand in hand with the world’s biggest brands  such as the world leader in hair and cosmetics, L’oreal Professional. Other sponsors were renowned Japanese cosmetic giant Shu Uemura and successful hair studio Miko Gallery.
They also had the chance to work closely with the media industry, with this year’s media partners GoGirl Magazine from Indonesia and experience event management connections with venue partner Starhill Gallery.
